Scan it for faults if you can.
At that age, it's probably due a trans filter and ATF change.

Thanks for help I’ll do scan in weekend but how I see the baby have full service history and also don’t understand why only on mornings do the game
All day stay by my workplace approximately same time as home night time and no issues on the drive to home

Gearbox Fault *HELP*

I purchased a 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.6TDV8 Autobiography (37,000 miles) in January 2021.

Occasionally but becoming more frequent my sport is bringing up an Amber Gearbox Fault code. It then locks itself into 3rd gear and stays there. Once restarted it rectifies and drives as normal.

Over the past few weeks I had noticed a slight thud feel when changing 5/6 gear but only sometimes not everytime. Because of this I thought I may as well get the gearbox flushed, I had it flushed today and it’s still doing the same issues.
You could drive it for a week and have no problems, then you could have the fault come up every journey!

Has anyone had this or has anyone an idea of what might be wrong? There is only 37,000 miles on this with a full service history!

Any help greatly appreciated!

If you're getting an "incorrect gear ratio" error, I think that's a sign of an internal issue that requires the 'box being opened and bits replaced. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Daylight robbery
I just hesitate between change gearbox or try first change the valve body with solenoids but 2G is too much
If buy second hand box cost you around £500
Completely rebuild like a new 1400

If someone is doing it much cheaper than usual then one must surely ask "why?". Maybe everyone else is scalping or maybe the cheap person, for example, isn't able to offer any form of meaningful warranty on their work, etc.

Bristol Transmissions (as an example of a well-known company), ask for £2,200 for a fully rebuilt 6HP26 including a new mechatronic and torque converter. The mechatronic unit is expensive before you even get to anything else in there so that seems like a good deal. Does the cheap company offer a similar item for the price?

One has to ensure one compares apples with apples. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
