Explain to wife that in the case of an accident at 30mph, a 3kg pooch will potentially strike someone with the force of 750kg...enough to splatter the dog and/or kill the person it hits. |

I'm guessing that the above advice has fallen on stony ground, as has the fact it is unlawful the dog not to be properly restrained.

a dog has to be restrained in a car ..its illegal and potentially dangerous to have a dog on your lap.. |

you dont have to be that draconian...a harness attached to the seat belt will suffice.. |

Safest place is for the dog to be in the boot in either a crate or with a dog guard above the rear seats. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
