I borrowed my lads when the battery died on the wife's quad bike, same problem; couldn't get get a vehicle next to it to jump start it. The battery was goosed, and I had to get a new one, but the booster is a very smart bit of kit. It's on my shopping list after a code reader |

You should NEVER use jump leads on modern cars as the ECU's don't like the surge of power they get when the other car gets revved up.

Not sure about Never, provided you connect/disconnect the jump leads in the correct sequence and allow the slave vehicle to idle for a few minutes without revving it up, before attempting to start the dead vehicle there should not be a issue, L/R do give the instructions how to do it for their vehicles in the owners manual currently up to 2021 cars.
