5.0 SC ticking noise

Here’s a video of a chaps 5.0 ticking in exactly the same way as mine. Before looking at the comments I had a feeling I knew what it was but I thought I’d get a 3rd opinion here.

My money's on the viscous fan coupling. Sometimes comes and goes for no logical reason. MY2006 / 2.7TDV6 HSE / CAIRNS BLUE

Yep, I’m thinking fan coupling, it comes and goes with no logic to it. It’s that regular that I find myself ticking with it. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Yep, definitely the viscous fan. It's a common one.

There's no point in changing it unless you really want to. Functionally, it will still continue to work for years afterwards. Kev
