I have the Nikon D50 SLR and a few lenses. I personally think that its the lenses that "make" a DSLR. RRS TDV8 HSE - Hybrid TV - Sunroof - Adaptive Front Headlights - Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 system

I'd say it is the eye of the user that makes the biggest difference, the technology is only an aid and can't replace skill and flair of creating the best shots. |

Nikon and Canon are the market leaders. All depends what you want it for. If it's just for good quality photos with no pressure on how fast the focus works etc either will do but as for colour I think the canon is better. I use Nikon D2xs's nice bit of kit if you have 2 1/2 k to spare. Not familiar with sony stuff but I would stick with either Nikon or Canon simply because of the extras you can get and the lenses available. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
