I have just recently purchased a Range Rover Sport P400e HSE Dynamic Black Edition (New - 70 Plate, 2020/2021) and have several times had a warning display on the dashboard saying “Gearbox Fault Detected”, the vehicle then hangs itself and won’t let me select a gear. Really embarrassing and annoying and inconvenient as this has happened in the middle of road when turning the car around or mid-car park at a supermarket when trying to reverse park.

Weirdly after turning the car off for 10 minutes and locking it, when I turn it back on everything seems to work again. Booked into the Guy Salmon garage to looked at but not sure if it’s a common fault or if anyone else have experienced it?

Hi Did you manage to find out what the cause was? Mine has done the same with a P2873-94 fault code.
