P400e noise when charging?

Hi, first post here. I'm a new P400e owner and plugged in to my wall charger earlier today. There's a very noticeable fan-like noise coming from the front of the car whilst it's charging- reminds me of the fan noise when a diesel is doing a DPF regen. I can't find anything online so just wondering if this is normal? My previous car was a 530e which was silent when charging so I'm slightly worried Crying or Very sad Thanks in advance.

Normal

Mine does it with a domestic Podpoint charger or a domestic 3 pin charger.

No idea why , there are other clicks and pops that go with it.

Enjoy the car, you have made a great choice. P400e HSE Portofino Blue and Ivory Seats.. it's like a yacht!!

Great thanks, that's a relief! Also the car will only charge to 99% but having read many posts this seems a common issue.

You will find that one day it charges 20miles then it's back up at 30,, I think an algorithm is managing the battery health by not overcharging it. In general if it says 30miles I figure I get 24, if it says 20 I get 16.. so work on 80pct. P400e HSE Portofino Blue and Ivory Seats.. it's like a yacht!!

Yes, mine sounds like a fan is running too. I sometimes get some clunks and pops from the rear. Occasionally I get a charging fault too.

yeah same for me too, lots of weird noises coming from the front and back of the car when charging, sometimes sounds like water running when you sat in it charging too.  2020 Range Rover Sport P400e HSE Dynamic

I've noticed the water noise too. Anyone know what it is?

Is the battery water cooled?

Yes, the noise is normal as it's just keeping everything nice and cool. And yes charging to 99% only when using a 3 pin domestic charger is common. But using a Type 2 7W charger then it should get to 100% no problem (eventually). L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
