Spain 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Sumatra Black
A 'different' OIL LEVEL NOT AVAILABLE problem....

Hi all,

RR Sport 2011 TDV6 HSE.

I had my alternator recently fixed (thanks for all the tips) but they told me there was a leak to watch out for. Probably from the turbo, they said.

I can't afford a fix at the moment so need to keep an eye on the oil level....BUT......I'm getting the OIL LEVEL NOT AVAILABLE message when I look.

I've tried ALL the tricks recommended (warm up, wait, bonnet open, double click cruise control off button, flat road etc) but nothing helps.

Has anyone else experienced this please?

It's incredibly frustrating as I REALLY need to keep an eye on the oil level.

THANKS!

Nick

I think this is the correct link, hope it's not your problem though.

Australia 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Fuji White

I had mine done on my L494 last month.
Done under warranty.
Dealer had the car for 6 days and it was replaced on the 2017 L494 by moving the front differential forward and removing the sump to replace sender and wiring loom.
Glad I wasn't paying for it.
I can't believe that LR haven't fixed this issue as its been around for a long time.

I have had this on my S/C occasionally and found if I put my toe under the throttle pedal and lift it upwards and hold it up it reads level o.k. throttle pedal position must be linked into the circuit in some way. Fortunately for me you can replace sender on a petrol variant without removing the sump. etc.

Cheers
