What about new SVR's?

Hi guys.... I heard a message on another forum that A-Plan were pulling out
of the RRS market, like LV= have done recently.

Any clarification on this?

Incorrect - we still have options in place for RR's, a handful of insurers have stopped insuring but we use over 40 insurers so have policies available.

Thefts on these vehicle went up massively this year causing a few insurers to pull out of the market, and a general increase in premiums with insurers who had a lot of pay-outs in their risk profiles due to this. But no, we aren't pulling out of the market as A-Plan, we are still insuring them just with a couple of less insurer options.

Thanks

Carlie

My comment above is applicable for all Land Rover / Range Rover models - we have options available, just with a couple of less insurers to chose from in regards to certain criteria in the combined risk (value, security, post code etc) A-Plan Insurance | Specialist Vehicle

Just had a call from A plan for my renewal for RRS and 300 tdi defender, £20 less than last year. I could get slightly cheaper for RRS but the excess is over double, so easy decision to stay with A Plan Joined the X5 45e club

That’s terrible.... Bearing in mind the comments above about insuring all RRS models.
They renewed my SVR in December, so it must be the insurers being fussy about location.

May be, off street private parking in HP9 Beaconsfield so don’t think location was the problem, this was 22/12/20 I normally pay under £500 for my old 2012 Disco 4 HSE and they would not insure new P400e HSE Dynamic Black!
Ended up using my Business insurance broker and went with a small fleet policy with Aviva!

Mine was taken on a couple of days ago so it’s not just because it’s a RRS Joined the X5 45e club

Just renewed my SVR insurance with the AA for £200 less than my old company wanted.

Thought £520 was a good price for a SVR but did notice most of the insurance companies seem to of pushed up the excesses to almost double what they were last year. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior
