Probably a stupid question...

Was driving down my street and someone waves me down and tell me the front of my car is on fire! I realised it was just the FBH doing its thing though.

But it made me think, would it be possible to divert the smoke through the exhaust out of the back instead?

I think I've read somewhere here that whilst this is a bit of a surprise to those not in the know, it tends to happen more if the FBH hasn't been in use for a while. So you see it most when mild weather turns to cold and it fires up for the first time in a while. If its regularly cold each morning and the car is used regularly, then it doesn't always produce lots of vapour. Speaking from experience I use mine quite a bit (I have a remote fitted) and don't notice any vapour. Even in summer I have been know to start it half an hour before I start the car. My theory (totally unproven) is that anything that warms up the engine a bit before starting can only be to the good. So, if you feel its an issue get a remote fitted so that you can fire up the FBH where its parked (driveway?) before you need to drive off and thus avoid the problem of the good Samaritan stopping you again. Thumbs Up Robin

Mine did smoke quite a bit the first few times it fired up but it’s smoke free now. Steve
