Solar charging

I've currently got an obd aa charger solar which I've tested and it does give current however it triggers the radio display to be on so I believe it's going to lose rather then gain.

The fix is to wire to the battery directly however my question is can I do a panel to the battery and still drive as my aa one you can't drive with. I wanted a solution that can stay in place and not connect and disconnect etc

Put a switch in the cable and turn off before starting up.
