Red Suspension Light

Crying or Very sad

Hi all. Car is 2005 RR Sport 4.2 SC. Was driving along two days ago and went over a pothole i think. Red suspension light came on shortly after and asked to safely stop. Light went from flashing red to solid red. Anyway, carried on the journey, got home and turned car on and off; light went away. Lifted car to off road and lowered to access - no issues at all.

Today went for a test drive, no issues. About 20 minutes in, red light appeared again randomly. Again carried on and came on home. Turned car off and on, light is gone.

What could be the issue? I only have an OBD scanner and no fault codes reported. If you think I should get a IID scanner; is there a really cheap version you would recommend? Either way, I’ve read things from battery, brake light switches, compressor, height sensors etc could be the issues. Dont know where to start!

Thanks in advance all.

Thanks - that’s full, no loss of fluid.

Would be good to try and get the fault code to help with an accurate diagnosis.

If you’re close to Huntingdon, I could help out.

Could be the signs of a compressor exhaust valve starting to fail. These can be random failures until they become a permanent one. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
