The usual solution is to read the codes first to see whats causing the warning to come on... |

Also, does it re-appear if you switch off and leave it for half an hour then restart? Robin

The error was on all day yesterday even though I left the car for a few hours between starting.

The reason I ask is that I occasionally get an error message regarding suspension or special programs. It doesn't seem to affect handling for day to day road trips. And if I leave it the error does not re-appear for a while. The best theory I have had is that you shouldn't turn on the ignition and then try to start it. Count to 5 then start. This seems to reduce the incidence of the error.

Got the codes read today and there is no error codes stored. I didn't know its possible to have an error appear but have no codes stored.

Yes. That’s it. My theory (totally unproven) is that it doesn’t like being started until it’s had a chance to get all the electrics fires up. So ignition on, wait till the display shows it’s done it’s self checking thing (about 5 seconds) Then you can start. I’ll be interested to know if it improves it for you. Robin
