I just bought a full size spare off e bay, there’s plenty available, I’d had a couple of times with the space saver on and just don’t get why they are fitted in cars where there is room. Joined the X5 45e club

I do not understand why. It's a full size wheel with a full size tyre. '08 RRS TDV8 I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil |

The RRS's spare was the Disco 3's road wheel. No idea why they marked it as a reduced performance item as it's a full size wheel and tyre.

The original 'space saver' spare wheels had a tyre that was thin in cross section (hence the title, space saver) and had very little tread.
