United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 Autobiography Firenze Red
2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

Hi,

I've been looking to upgrade from my 2005 X5 for a few weeks and came across a SDV8 Autobiography but wasn't sure if it's well priced or not as I haven't been following that market.

I've been watching the prices of the SDV6 HSE Dynamic for a few weeks whilst seeing if something ideal pops up but I hadn't considered the SDV8 Autobiography due to not wanting to go over budget.

Do the SDV8 normally command a premium over the SDV6 or is there little in it price wise? I expect the Autobiography to be worth a couple of thousand(or more?) over the HSE Dynamic but wasn't sure about the engine.

it's a 2017 RRS 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography Dynamic with stealth pack, panoramic roof, electric tow ball and deployable side steps. It is quite high mileage for the age at 44,000 though.

It's priced around £5k over SDV6 HSE Dynamic equivalents but wasn't sure if that is reasonable for the differences.

I only do 5-6000 miles per year and generally keep cars 2 years at the most, so I didn't think I would have too much trouble selling this one on in 24 months time with 55k on the clock for around £30k+.

Thanks!

A 4.4 should command a tiny premium over the 3.0 but surprisingly it’s sometimes the other way around.

The panoramic roof is standard on the autobiography.
The tow ball was about £1k and the steps £3k when new, but worth next to nothing now. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

I don't think the SDV8 engines grenade themselves though so when I'm in the market for an L494 I'll be aiming for a V8 diesel or petrol to avoid the fear of a ticking time bomb which judging by recent posts still seems to be a risk even on very late cars..... Shocked 2010 TDV8 - current - my first RRS, loving it so far......
2005 Cayenne S - handling defied physics and what a sound, so sod the mpg!
1995 Disco TDI- surprisingly reliable, shame about the peeling dash & other trim
Lots of other non 4X4's in between times.........

Enjoy! I reckon it will be great and that's a price that I'd be very happy with. Cheers,
