Does my RRS have the variable dampening system?

Its a 2013 3.0 diesel HSE Luxury (facelift version) with the 8 speed box, electric tailgate etc.

As per the title does my suspension have the system?

Thanks 2012 SDV6 HSE LUXURY in Orkney grey.

Is there a dynamic mode on the terrain response button (looks like a twisty road)? If yes, then it has variable dampers. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I thought the dampers were not variable but the dynamic response system provided variable roll bar effect. 07MY RRS TDV6

Build spec. on my 5.0L S/C say Continuous Variable Damping which I believe was standard on the S/C not sure about other models though, actualy has label on the damper its's self saying CVD.

In the facelift they went to variable dampers as well as the hydraulic anti roll bar. Which is great on road but not on the pocket as the dampers are >twice the price. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

It does have the dynamic "twisty road" setting and is the face lift version (the one with the round shift selector that raises on starting.).

So I'm guessing if is the one with VDS.
Got a suspension fault, hopefully not a strut! Big Cry

You can't miss what you haven't had. Thumbs Up

Having had the hydraulic ARB on both of my RRS, I must say I like it. Never driven an RRS without it but have driven Disco without it and it was noticeable on twisty roads.

The variable damping is noticeable in dynamic mode but I could live without it having not had it on my previous RRS.

What I'm not keen on is the silly round gearbox selector on the facelift. Much preferred the stick on my old one. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

As above, I love my hydraulic ARBs. It keeps the vehicle nice and level when cornering at speed. It also allows the ARBs to be decoupled when off road for better wheel articulation.

Here's an interesting demo of the ACE system when it was first launched on the Disco 2. Yes, it's a different, older system (ACE vs Dynamic Response), but it demonstrates the capability quite well.

My mechanic reckons it's the pump cos of the error code. It does run, sounds noisy to me, not sure if that's normal?
It does produce some air, could it just not be creating enough pressure or if it's running does that means it's not the pump?
I'm just concerned that there's so many possibilities, that it may not be a pump issue. 2012 SDV6 HSE LUXURY in Orkney grey.

If started with the ride height only warning intermittent, happened maybe three times over a couple of weeks, then went to suspension failure on Friday.
Error code refers to the pump.
Like I say the pump does run and there's some air coming out.
Sounds noisy to me but I guess that might be the fact I've never listened for it before. 2012 SDV6 HSE LUXURY in Orkney grey.

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Nara Bronze

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I am being asked the same question by the guys at GAP as I have an issue with my Ride Level Module.

Per RRSTDV8 I do have dynamic mode on the terrain response button but as per Col I don't have it listed in the build spec for my VIN.

Mine is a facelift RRS 2010 L320 TDV8 with ACE.

Is it not showing on my build sheet as it is standard spec?

Can someone enlighten me pls?

If I remember correctly have a look at the top of the front or rear damper under the wheel arch, if you see a electrical wire coming out of the damper you have it if no wire you don't.

Cheers
