Maybe I got the numbers wrong. That would make sense given the order of numbering.

Anyway if it used to work like you liked it. Put the original back in

They changed it due to customer complaint of cyclists and busses triggering the beeper in traffic

You would like to think so, but being somewhat cynical there is as much chance of it being cheaper to produce and able to sell it dearer, after all this is L/R. Laughing

Thank you both for the advice. I'll put the old one back and see how we go. The only other issue I have with the car is the Sat Nav voice recognition not working (I have changed the mike). I've put up posts on the forum and never had a satisfactory reply to solve the issue. The diagnostic shows two codes. I have tried to make contact with Denzo and never received a reply. You two guys seem to have your figures on the pulse of every thing Land Rover related.....any suggestions as to what or where I can go next?!? Andrew Kennedy

Two codes Col...... 0B-41: 10/03/17 12:37:28 & 10-50:00/00/00 00:00:00. Apart from the voice recognition ever thinks works okay. The message I'm getting on the dash is "NO SPEECH DETECTED". We have a very good guy over here in Brittany who specialises in Land Rover servicing, repairs etc. The wiring from the box under the seat to the mike has been check for connectivity (if that's the correct expression) as okay....but that's as far as we have gone. If you can suggest any other checks that could be looked at, that would be helpful. Andrew Andrew Kennedy

Those are codes out the secret menu Col.

If continuity has been checked I can’t think of anything. (Unless they are shorted together) or to chassis

The continuity of the RED and BLACK wires that go up to the mike were checked by looking at the box (situated under the front seat RHD) from under the back seat, perhaps not very satisfactory. Interestingly your thoughts about a possible short, the system went on the blink intermittently before deciding it wouldn't work any more, which I guess might indicate a short. Perhaps I'll take the front seat out and have a look at the wiring? I haven't added any accessories screwed into the body that might have caused a short. Andrew Kennedy
