Ditch the 22" rims or not?

Looking to move over to here from the Disco3 forum as currently looking at a RRS at my local stealer. time to update and need a vehicle to tow a horse trailer and get 2 dogs in the boot and just not a fan on the D5 and FFRR just to big.

The vehicle im looking at has 22" alloys and with towing in and out of fields i need to put a chunky tire on AT type M&S that sort of thing.
Is there an option for the 22" rims it has on it or would i be better off looking for a smaller rim that has better tire options?

Its a 2014 vehicle, does anyone know if my IID tool i have for my Disco would be compatible with this.

Being new to RR's any advice would be greatly appreciated as always been pretty
hands on with my vehicles as much as possible.

Cheers
Andrew Thumbs Up

Hi there, if I were you I'd drop down to 20" rims and you will get AT tyres no problem. I'm just setting my 62 plate up on 255/55x20 Pirelli Scorpion All season Zero's with no alterations having to be made. Don't know about the 11D tool but someone will be along with an answer soon and re-reading your post I moved here from a D3 also.

I think with the Gap Tool you just contact Gap and buy a new licence for the Sport and update the tool.

If it helps, i have 22" rims on mine and regularly tow a horse trailer (+ 2 horses) on the standard tyres.
It also gets me through the heavy mud in the autumnal / winter shooting season!

They are surprisingly capable on "Road" setup! Thumbs Up Now
