Another Point Just in case it goes to Legal, and your dealer refuses to co-operate
May be a good idea to get an AA report on the Vehicle

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

don't give up hope yet mate.

I'm sure we can give you some pointers to help either

1) legally to fight the case
2) to find somewhere in wales or england to help

do you have any pics of the part that is leaking ?

don't give the car away yet

At least its got a petrol engine. If you have a petrol engine there is always hope for an RRS

Hi Mate, Don't give up yet. Remove the metal undertray, and see if you can work out where the leak is, and report back here. It could be something very easy to fix. Thumbs Up

Also..under trading standards law you can demand full refund or get them to pay for full repair unless they made you aware of the issue and you accepted it on purchase as it is.

I bought mine in August ladt year. 4 weeks later I got engine management light, dpf full (red warning). Had fault codes read , had one which saird turbo overboost vondtion etc.

Contactex trader via email first with pictures of error msgs etc. Credit to them they didnt try fob me off or fight me. Asked if I could take to garage get it diagnosed and they will foot the bill. I bought car off trader based not far from jcn 28 M1. I live in London. Hence was willing to take car to reputable indie so long as they paid up.

By the end of the week they had paid out £1100 ..parts n labour which included diagnostic and investigation.

Consumer protection act is your best friend right now. Hence they all give 3 months warranty as standard.

Firstly, really sorry to read of your situation but the trader you purchased it from simply can't say they aren't going to do anything about it. As mentioned by others you have statutory rights under the sale of goods act 2015 where the item you purchased should be fir for purpose - this isnt the case. If you google Which consumer rights act 2015 they provide support to help you claim back against the trader, even have letter template assistance if you dont feel comfortable drafting one yourself.

Did you get a warranty or was it sold as seen?

The thing that worries me is wen they agreed to go into landrover they said dependant on the report will be if they take it back to there workshop however ita been 3 times already and things are left unfinished and almost worse then it went so i expect I will end up having to foot the bill and have to try claim as I need a car for work and I struggle walking from fused spine so I pretty rely on a car to see my young one etc

I tried chasing it but they closed there website down and quit autotrader so presume I've been f over now as they don't exist to persue as distinctvehiclesolutions.co.uk is no longer working for me. I was meant to speak to them today but they stated they have issues with my trade in and couldn't answer so presume its an effort to try get out of it
