Speaker Crackle

Hi all, first time posting on here so forgive me if i'm in the wrong place but I need some help.

I've had my 2016 L494 for a year and it has a crackle from the front upper door speakers that started every so often but now is pretty much all the time.
Here's some information I have found by trying different things

Comes out of driver and passenger upper door speakers
It's not interference from a mobile phone as it happens when there aren't any around
Happens only when moving
Volume of it is unconnected to the audio volume ie it's the same all the time and happens even when the volume is turn right down
Worse on rougher road surfaces
Seems worse on cornering
Disappears when the audio balance is fully to the rear

I can only think that it is a dodgy connection somewhere but where would that be?

Any help would be appreciated as it's driving me nuts

I've video'd it but haven't figured out how to post videos yet.

Jon

I had issues with vibrations from both front doors at high speaker volumes - fixed by sound proofing with dynomat and removing the foam padding between the door trim and speakers...your video noise is something totally different - may need to start trouble shooting by disconnecting speakers, etc to determine where the fault it. A good car audio place will be a starting point.

Not sure where your located - I used Gary @ Audio File in-car in Bishops Stortoford. MY16, 3.0D HSE Dynamic, Barola Black, TV, Rear Entertainment, Opening Pan Roof, Meridian

Just in case anyone has the same issue in future, I have discovered what the problem was.

It ended up being the conversation assist setting that was causing it. it was set to high and for some reason creating the crackle when the road noise increased to a certain level.

Changing the setting to medium or turning it off made it stop immediately.

thanks

Jon
