Thumbs Down!

Just spent ages going through the quote to be given one that's DOUBLE the cheapest one from Churchill's via money supermarket. £900! Now if i was 21 again (I'm 52) that would be fair. I thought it would be at least vaguely competitive seen as there's a whole forum for it! Lady I spoke to was pleasant but the quote was not..

It’s the same with all insurance, a company will like one persons risks and not another’s. It was Thatcham you phoned and referenced this site? 2015 RRS autobiography Corris Grey/Black roof

I had the same about a month or so back. They were nearly 3 times more expensive than what I could get on the price comparison sites. Kev

For me they matched the lowest on comparison sites but were a third of the excess. It also worked out that if I insured my defender as well I got better cover for £30 less. This was a specialist policy, so if you have @n enthusiasts car as well they can do really well 2015 RRS autobiography Corris Grey/Black roof

I don't know if Aviva just like me but I pay £350 pa for fully comprehensive. Admittedly with a £650 excess. Yes, its quite a high excess but I would expect to fix myself, or ignore, little nicks and scratches - the car's 12 years old after all. Robin

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Baltic Blue

This year I took a policy with the AA. It cost £516.49 direct with AA. Dealt with the AA direct rather than via a comparison website such as Confused.com as I need a courtesy car if theft or total loss – something that with the AA is not available on line.

It's not cheap as some firms but I hear good things about the AA and there is only £100 excess. Not bad for a 5 litre supercharged. There is no replacement for displacement - W O Bentley

Enjoy the low price this year and be prepared for next years big jump. I made no claims and no one claimed from me but the renewal fee was just over double.

Insurance

£550 on SAGA with a £400 excess. I have a Tracker. Includes legal and courtesy etc. SAGA do Protected NCD on all their policies Free, which I value. Worth a try.

Hi,
the experience I have had with A-Plan has always been very good, even though I have never actually taken a policy out with them Shocked

Checked again a month or so ago at renewal time and the guy I spoke to was pleasant and knowledgeable, he did his best to get a good price but could not match my renewal (was very close) the advantage against a comparison site is you speak to someone real and when I have spoke to them they know there stuff, sure if they could beat my price and still make a bit of profit they would.

Currently with NFU for 1 but they must not like my FL2 (or me Laughing ) as their never even near aviva for that

and with Bemoto for the motorbike

Thumbs Up its Going, Going ! now Gone.
