RRS vs Tractor

Put the RRS to use last night recovering a tractor that had slid into a neighbour' ditch. My wife drove and controlled the winch from the switches in the centre console - I just did the other bits. Poor picture - dashcam screenshot and the light was a bit dim.

That 4000 is much-loved by its owner but up for sale - barn-stored and given lots of TLC. If I hadn't been furloughed I would have bought it - many happy memories towing glider winch cables all day with one of those. Thumbs Up

Presumably if he'd driven it rather than pampered it, he wouldn't have stuck it in a ditch... Whistle Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

"Pampering" = properly looking after a tool he uses every day. Wink

Just an ill-defined ditch in a a field that hasn't been mown for a couple of years: our neighbours have all of the water from our land going through that ditch Shocked . Rushes, rushes and more rushes....

When I were a lad, there was a different word for that... Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
