To clay or not to clay

Hi Guys

Ive read mixed reviews about using a clay bar and one guy swears by using Bilt Hamber Kerrosal on the body work, as you would with BH wheel cleaner. Says its a great job, not harmful to body work and is obviously a lot less effort than claying. Has anyone else tried this method? Im a tad nervous about trying it. Yes used both, but if using korrosol then keep it away from chromed plastic including wheel centres, bonnet/rear lettering and any on a grille etc. as it can mark it. I didn't think korrosol was a stand alone product though, more of a pre-clay product. It might be ok on a recently clayed body though but mine was well needing clayed.

For the clay bar, I found the BH medium clay was very hard I'd stick with the soft, but I'm not sure I'll ever use a clay bar again after recently using a clay mitt - much faster and easier and does as good a job. Also you can simply rinse it regularly under water and keep going (even if dropping it). I've done my sport and wife's evoque with it a few weeks ago and there is loads of life left in it, here is the one I got - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00K4U...&psc=1 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

When I do a full decontamination i snowfoam BH auto foam, wash BH AW,Kerosol till it goes pink then powerwash off,tar remover Autosmart, another quick wash them BH clay bar using water with a very little BH AW.Get the soft clay bar as I’ve got the medium & I have to keep dropping it in hot water to soften it.
If you accidentally drop the clay on the floor bin it,I usually cut the clay bar into 4 quarters. Andy.

I recently use Maguires clay bar kit. I was really impressed with finish. I had never used clay bar before well worth a go .
