Hi all
So I have a 2007 rrs tdv8 , I just had a Apple play stereo and reverse camera fitted , had the call to say come and collect it so off I go pay the bill come out to notice the arse end is lower then the front , jump in start the car and get a message on dash saying rear left door open yet it’s not ! I opened and closed it plus all doors and bonnet and tailgate !! Still there ! So the ride height won’t correct itself ! Unfortunately at this time the electrician/ fitter had finished and gone home only junior fitter left at store , he tried a reset of disconnecting battery for 30 mins and no change , also disconnected and cleaned and sprayed plug on that particular door actuator nothing again , plugged in no faults found.
This means I’ve now had to leave it with them till fitter is back in Monday has anyone else had this issue ???

When lock via the key the horn sounds once guessing indicating a door open ? It locks all doors then press unlock it unlocks them all ,
Could this be an issue with electrics from camera maybe being spliced into rear cluster / reverse light ?? (Just guessing that’s how they’d done it )

Putting it out there now in case they can’t resolve this straight away

Try opening the boot, leave it open and see if you get a boot message open. Open the rear left door and see if the message is still there. Does the reverse camera work as it should? I think it’s likely to be unrelated to the wiring installation but it could be down to how he installed it and where. 2012 5.0 SC AB

I haven’t really had a chance to see I stuck it in reverse the screen came up ok but that was it ! I’ll get them to try the boot open suggestion see how it goes
