3 Litre Straight Six Ingenium Engines - P400 MHEV

Anyone know if there has been any real world feed back on the reliability of the
Straight Six Ingenium Petrol with MHEV?? Very interested as i have ordered this
in 110 Defender format, but i cannot track down any real world user feedback on
the engine in terms of the usual Land Rover gremlins since it was released into the
wilds in 2019 in the RRS HST..

Thanks

I've got the 3l one in my 2020 Sport, & in my opinion it's superb. For the last umpteen years, the last being a 2019 diesel sport, I've always had the diesel engine, but since getting this I realise what I've been missing. The power is unbelievable & instant. According to the car fuel display it's doing 19 mpg towing, & up to 30 mpg solo. Whilst towing, the gearbox works a bit harder than the diesel, but this I believe is due to the different torque properties of diesel & petrol. On tickover it's silent inside the car. Fortunately on the sport they've increased the size of the fuel tank to allow for the lesser mpg over the diesel. Personally, I'll never go back to a diesel. Hope this helps. current 2015 hse dynamic, grey.

I said I’d never go back to a diesel after my 5.0sc but I have & regret it,,in fact the dealer who bought my SC March 19 still has it for sale & I keep looking at it & thinking should I but it back,,he gave GS 42k for it,well that’s what they allowed me in px & he now has it up for 35k Shocked Andy.

thank you, yes it does, assume based upon the "build your own" app on the LR UK site
you have the P400 in MHEV format. Any issues or does it behave and perform consistently?
no issues with the GPF..

Cheers

Hi Zilch, you are correct it is the mhev.
It has only done 2500 miles at present but absolutely no problem, & is a pleasure to drive. I've owned a few "performance" cars in the past, but this totally outclasses any of them in power & performance.
