Hey disco mikey. My car is parked too far away from my house for a trickle charger.
Is there any alternative to that? Would disconnecting the battery help/ or cause any issues?

As we need to shop for food once a week, don't see the need to do anything special. A ctek or similar on the battery wouldn't be a bad thing if it doesn't usually do long runs. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

As above, I wouldn't normally bother doing anything if the RRS was being used weekly for shopping etc. but for me it's my wife's Evoque doing the shopping run. It would need to be 6 month or more before I bothered over-inflating tyres, when going away for a month I just ensure they are at pressure before going and getting back, and there's never been any issues other than rusty brake disks. My Defender has been off the road in a shed for the past couple of years, it sat for a year in one place then when initially driving on a farm track I could tell there was flat spots but it soon disappeared as the tyre got back to shape so I now just ensure it moves a couple of times a year.
I've never noticed an issue with my battery either but I usually do put on a solar trickle charger through the ODB port in the hope it may slow the low discharge from the alarm and the like. For now I'm just swapping the charger between vehicles. 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

DrRob, my Ftype is off the road all winter, though this year it may be winter & summer. Extra 10psi in tyres, full tank of fuel with added fuel stabilizer, Atom mac on discs, parking brake off, clean & polish, Ctek on permanently. Do not start it & let it idle as this is when most wear occurs, plus you introduce condensation into the exhaust (ie rust) I also leave a tray of silica gel granules inside to absorb any moisture, though for a couple of months I would not bother. Some people leave mouse traps round the car as they love chewing wiring

Don't know if it's of any interest or not but this is L/R's instruction to dealers on tyres and EPB during storage, guess it would depend on how long it intends to be parked up.

Hi Rob, I haven't done it before, however I have never SORN and stored a car before.

Continental recommend inflating the tyres to prevent flatspotting during storage, although only by about 3 psi over the normal pressure, see here... https://www.continental-tyres.co.uk/car/al...t-spotting

I've just pumped mine to the maximum, because I remember reading a few years back that it's what some people do when they store vehicles for long periods. I'd imagine mine will be off the road for several months so I thought I may as well.

Have been connecting my ctek direct to the battery, bought the cigarette attachment thing, works to start with but when I lock the car it turns off the socket? 2015 SDV6 306bhp Dynamic santorini black.

Not a big problem for me as easy to connect to the battery, however when I connect via the socket to my wifes car works fine. 2015 SDV6 306bhp Dynamic santorini black.

The Ctek towing electric adaptor is by far the easiest way to keep battery topped up! If you have 13 pin or twin 7 sockets naturally
