What's the consensus on these Engine Detox procedures when it comes to helping oil-flow, etc?

If you have the EDT flush done it circulates a hot cleaning oil round the engine and cleans all carbon and dirty oil sludge out of the engine and turbo. Had it done on my van and and after 450 miles the oil was still clean and not black like it normally is on a diesel.
Power was restored and engine seems to run better and fuel economy has gone up a couple of MPG.
I had it done at Flightpath autos.

the ZA and OZ-spec SDV6 did not have the DPF, so your argument is invalid for those markets. It may still be a factor for EU-spec though Thumbs Up

Correct naks, but also in case of non DPF the right oil (5w30, Ford, 913C or D specs) can make a difference, including more frequent oil changes.
I have noticed that some dealerships in Africa use Castrol edge 5W40 or worse GTX 20W50. Wrong!! RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux
RRS 3.0 TDV6 gone
LR 3 HSE V8 gone

gents, this may be a first: a FFRR SDV8 broke its crank!

I have a Range Rover L405 4.4 diesel on a 2013 plate with 90000 miles on the clock service history apart from two which are missing but have been done by the main dealer. And the crank has broken on the back end just like the V6 and I’m having a right battle with JLR as they keep saying it’s out of warranty.

Long engine. £16k + VAT for the lump alone Shocked

Whether it had anything to do with the failure or not, we topped up with 4.5 litres of oil when it was brought in Confused
