I’m also looking at the same. From what I gather from on here and research, depending on the age of the car. I think the early RRS1s have the solid rail. Facelifted RRS1s have the 3 mount type. The rails are generally fitted and left in situ. I found some on eBay from a UK seller on eBay at £142 but I think they’re Chinese copies and fitting my be ok. Obviously LR fit like a glove but demand a premium when they come up for sale.

I’m going to a couple of shows and will still keep folding the back seat down. Please purchase the eBay ones and let me know how you get on Mr. Green 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Thanks mate. Yeah I have a 2013 facelift so good to know on the fit. I might have seen the ones on eBay you are talking about. ===========================================

Personally not a fan of roof boxes - if it don't fit in the car, it gets left Very Happy

You could try getting a towbar mounted box maybe?

Thanks mate. I’m not a fan of either. However we have a 18 month old and the amount we need to take away is shocking. We are doing a trip to isle of white and then a trip to Glenn Coe in November. Roof box is the lesser of two evils for me. ===========================================

I still say better packing sir! My ex-wife and I used to get all the kiddie stuff and ours into a Subaru Impreza wagon and still keep the load cover on. Then later on in life new partner, my 13 yo, her 11 yo in the RRS with my bike in the back and still load cover on!

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I've been looking at the "T" track type on the Powerful UK website. Looks to be reasonable priced and as far as I can tell looks the same as the LR version but a LOT cheaper.

Think it is about £145 whereas the LR one crops up on ebay occasionally for £700+ Shocked Shocked not sure this helps you choose Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy 2006 RRS HSE 2.7 TDV6 (The Baby one as I keep being told)

Scotland

I have Thule roof bars on my 2018.

No rails on the car so these clamp to the roof, very neat but are noisy and limited to 80mph.

Halfords box on top which is limited to 70mph.

The speed limits are not a problem because we are towing a caravan.

Roofbox.co.uk loads of information and good prices.

Ian 2018 Indus Silver SDV6 Autobiography normally towing a Buccaneer Cruiser.
