Suspension light on after 20 econds

Not posted on here for ages as its been behaving itself until now!!

Advise needed if possible, the suspension fault lights on after 20 seconds or so but my fault code reader doesn't seem to read the suspension module!

So I have 2 questions;-

1) The suspension fault - I'm thinking compressor as I'm assuming its trying to make pressure then failing? I have a mate bringing a laptop until reader from his work tomorrow to read the codes if any!

2) What is the best (most economical) code reader set up for reading codes including suspension faults? I've invested in the Launch CRP129 a few years ago which up to now has read everything I've plugged it into and reset a whole host of faults on many different cars!

So the Fault code is U0132- Lost communication with Ride Level Module.

So does anyone know whee this RLM is and the route the loom takes to get to it? Are there any block connectors in there?

I drove upo to Scotland last wee kin it in the heavy rain, so I'm assuming it has got water in there somewhere and a connection corroded, I'h hoping a bit of WD40 and and a clean up will fix it but where do I look??

Ride level module could be the suspension module which I think is behind the back left boot panel. There’s also a module in the front right foot well behind the kick panel that I’ve got in my head may be something to do with suspension.

Have you checked your 4x4 screen to see if you have any coloured bars?

If you suspect heavy rain, it could be height sensor. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Well I think I might have fixed the Suspension fault!!

CAN Bus is the culprit!!!! RLM module not talking U0132 DTC code, So after not being able to find anything wrong with the suspension of RLM module. I following the CAN Bus wiring form the manual.....

This CAN Bus thing in a nut shell goes around most of the modules for a chat! Anyway I decided to check some of the other modules after I found a fault code in the gearbox module saying it could not communicate with the Suspension module and hey presto, the Traction shift module thing ( infront of the main ECU) had corroded plugs where water had been in, infact one of the connectors on the module had corroded off !!!

So after a few hours of cutting (both the plastic on the module and some copper shim) I had made a new terminal and soldered into the module! Even impressed myself!!!

Cleaned the connector up with needle files and jobs a peach! Now for MOT tomorrow with no suspension light on! - Result!

That wants rotating 90- deg clockwise - Battery compartment.

Struggling with photos, the one I want to show won't upload!

Good find, if you’ve got some Vaseline, smear it around the mating surfaces of the plugs to help keep moisture out. You can also put some on the back of the shell where the wires pass through. 2012 5.0 SC AB
