GPS Interferance on IPhone

Hi All,

Bit of a strange one when i try to use waze and place the phone on an left air vent next to the screen unit i get gps not working on my iPhone but if put by the drivers window air vent all is ok!!

Does the screen unit cause this issue for anyone else? Question

I use waze as the LR one is rubbish and needs to be updated which will probably happen when the 2020 maps are released

I also get the same issue with samsung phones as well. Current RRS MY2012 HSE Lux 3.0 SDV6 Orkney Grey

Could be the "faraday cage effect" from the heated screen???? 2006 L320 4.2 Supercharged

My phone lives on the drivers centre air vent - and my GPS works fine.. not an iPhone, admittedly (it's a OnePlus 7T Pro), but comparable I'd have thought. 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S

No GPS works well in our car - iphone, Land Rover phone or Garmin. Its down to the windscreen I think 2012 SDV6 HSE (technically its hers)

I find the same. GPS hit and miss in my 2017. Better the closer to the windscreen but still has issues. I presume due to the heated windscreen element.

I think the RRS2 may have a solar attenuating windscreen which could possibly affect the gps signal on a phone.

Cheers
