Head unit fit in 2007td2.7 kit ?

hi all , sorry know this has been covered numerous times but I`m bit confused !
have a 2007 2.7diesel with harmon kardon amp under drivers seat (metal box ?)
want new head unit so what kit do I need please ?

thought of Xtrons 7" 8,9,10 android ? will buy pioneer/kenwood if easier fit .
do I need separate amp ? * what aerial for dab ? fitting kit ?

want decent dab radio , satnav ,reverse camera (for wife !) phone etc

not bothered about losing current useless satnav screen !

excellent current tutorials give me confidence to do myself ? bit worried about moving headlining for aerial ?

please point me in right direction ! all help much appreciated . Cheers Dave

Check out the thread on my install HERE it has all the details including the DAB roof antenna

Have a read and ask any speciifc questions

Incatec fitting kit plus a small amp to power the sub and a head unit of your choice . Personally would stick with Kenwood / Pioneer

Dropping the headlinning by the tailgate is very easy to do the antenna TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten

You dont actually need both unliess you want to retailn factory sat nav as the GPS reciever is in the fin

However the shark fin has three holes through roof when removed (2 mounting studs and the cable) so I opted to reatin the fin and just add the DAB anttena

I went for the Kinetic combined DAB / FM antenna and the recption is outstanding

Hope that helps Thumbs Up TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten

Cost ?

Pioneer unit £190-£400 depends on features
Pioneer amp £70
Incartech fit kit £100 + £60 rear camera (optional )
dabon aerial £83

approx. £500 + does this sound about right ?

cheers for any thoughts

incartec kit would be £169 for the full sat nav retention cable kit but other than that yes thats about right Thumbs Up

And yes you do need the antenna kit with the 5m DAB and FM cables TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten
