GPS Software download?

2006 Sport. Voice recognition not working. Wiring and mic check out as working okay and nothing untoward comes up on the diagnostic screen. Is it possible to have the GPS'S software uninstalled and then reinstalled to see if that might sort the problem?!? Andrew Kennedy
