Deployable sidesteps no longer a configurator option

Has anyone noticed this has gone? I know it has always been a dealer fit item, but was available in configurator before? Range Rover Sport SVR - Santorini Black

It doesn't seem to be an option for the SVR but its is for any other spec. I wonder if this can still be fitted by the dealer after delivery?

They were always a dealer fit. Probably took too much time to be a factory fit

Just noticed Netsters already said this Whistle

2020 MY comes pre-wired for deployable side steps in order to minimize the number of panels that need to be removed during fitting Thumbs Up

I've seen this as well, no where to be seen on the SVR page and if you go to a non SVR model and look it specifically says Not for SVR.

But they were fine on the MY20 model !!! So whats changed for MY20.5 lol.

Anyone got any ideas? Non JLR Vehicle

The LR ones do fit on the 20.5MY I've checked.

No idea why they've vanished from the configurator lol. Non JLR Vehicle

Hi, did you get them fitted?

I have the same issue, I am now changing my 2017 SVR with deployable side steps for a new SVR.

Went in the dealers to spec a new one on Monday but there was one extremely close to what I wanted being built, so went for that, I take delivery on Friday the 12th June, no hanging around.

I asked to get the steps fitted but I was told they no longer have the correct British Standard Approval, sounded like BS to me.

It is an issue as my mother will really struggle to get in the car without them.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

The New Defender configurator is the same, quite a few accessories that are dealer fit and not added to the original build spec have either disappeared or moved to the accessories section. Some items that are listed as factory only aren’t - the Warn winch for example is a £5000 dealer fit accessory now but at least that price includes all parts needed to comply with the pedestrian safety rules which initially the configurator showed as a separate item, now if you click on the winch it also highlights the mounting kit and adds the total cost to your car’s cost. Only Thing the Defender configurator doesn’t show is if you add say the winch and black accessory wheels the image of the car doesn’t change to show them added, to show the black wheels you have to go right back to the wheels section in the initial builder sections and highlight a different style of wheel!
The configurator has strange inconsistencies on it too - I wanted waterproof seat covers, according to the configurator they are only available for the 3rd row seats of the 7 seater nothing shows for the 1st and 2nd row but the dealer has them in stock at a wallet numbing price!

The Land Rover configurator has always had these glitches, they eventually fix them but add a host of others when they change it. Must admit though that the JLR online configurators are streets ahead of BMW’s, Audi’s and Mini’s that are either useless or full of bugs. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
