Hissssing...then front suspension now dropped. RRS tdv8

So today while sitting at traffic lights, there was a sudden loud hissssing of air as if taking air out of a tyre, which is what I thought happened. I got out of car and checked around and didn't notice anything. So continued to drive and after say a minute car was on the ground..... With warning on dash not to exceed 30mph. I managed to get to a side road and called a recovery truck. While waiting I did restart car and moved it to a better position ready for recovery truck. The rear suspension seemed to raise to normal height, but front stayed low.

So hoping it's a simple fix....has this ever happened to any of you guys ?

If it's localised to the front, it will be something ahead of the front valve block which is situated inside the offside front wheel arch. It could be either:

Front valve block issue
Front air-spring issue
Airline issue between front valve block and the front strut Kev

It's fixed!

Basically the pre-heater exhaust has a small hole in it, which was leaking hot gases onto the plastic air suspension pipe and melted a hole in it. Rolling Eyes

Couldn't believe how rotten the pre heater exhaust was. Completely gone on the small flexi section. Purchased a new exhaust for £23. Part No: JEZ500050.

The air pipe is located right next to it so its worth checking. Just unclip the arch liner and its right in front of you. Annoying I had to purchase a new airline (£90) plus labour to fit it.

Worth checking guys....

Guess they are getting to that age where bits like this will become the next common issue Mad
