Wierd Rear door locking problem.

Hi,

This is my first post, so be gentle...

I've had a quick look around and seen lots of other problems with rear doors and unlocking but cant find my particular problem anywhere so thought I would pick your brains.

I've just got a 2013 RRS autobiography with keyless entry. My rear passenger side door will open if I open that door first, and it then unlocks all the other doors. But if I open any other door first, then that door stays locked.

The lock on the door doesn't open if I press the unlock button on the drivers door either, but if someone sitting in the rear moves the lock to open manually then they can open the door.

Is this a setting to change (whihc I can probably manage) or a part to replace (which I will probably manage despite telling myself that Im going to do more harm than good whilst I do it.)?

Cheers,
Dan.

Had a very similar issue on my MY13 recently with O/S rear door, new lock/catch sorted it.

Cheers

Likewise - the first couple of times, the rear passenger could unlock it from the inside.. then that stopped working, too, and they had to climb over to the other side to get out Whistle New lock motor assembly fixed it. 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S

Both rear actuators have been replaced on mine since I purchased it in September previous owner did one just before I collected it and I had the opposite side replaced about a month after I bought it, appears to be a very common failure.
