Fuel System Additives

Just been reading couple of old post about using additives in diesel fuel, some have mentioned that no additives shoud be used in Range Rover Sports diesels as this is mention in the handbook, i have not looked in the handbook yet but every service my sport has had at the dealers they have added fuel system cleaner. are they wrong to add the fuel cleaner, 2009 tdv6.

Fuel system cleaners are fine, and it's down to personal choice of which one to use. 2011 MY D4 HSE
Previously 2001 D2 TD5, 1996 D1 300Tdi, 1985 90 2.2 petrol.
