Very interesting item. Our SDV6 has needed two interim oil changes now - both roughly mid-way between annual services. Both were paid for by LR (the first was apparently covered under the service plan and the second was described as ‘goodwill’ after I complained when they tried to charge me £180). Current: 2020 P400e HSE Dynamic

Gone: 2016 SDV6 HSE
2012 SDV6 SE

Mine has been in multiple times for this issue. Northampton dealer has repeatedly as has customer experience centre told me I am doing short journeys and it’s my fault. Our Mercedes does nothing but short journeys and has never had an issue in its 3 year life. Rolling with laughter

Mines going into lr at the end of the month for a major service but how will I know when it needs another oil change? Will it display when needed? It’s coming up to 49k on the clock so I dout lr are going to be much help from now on.

If your car is a 2006 as per your Avatar you will not have a DPF fitted, so should not need another oil change until next service.

Cheers

On the L494 you can look at the on screen menu to see when the next oil service is due. Current: 2020 P400e HSE Dynamic

Gone: 2016 SDV6 HSE
2012 SDV6 SE
