Can you make them the same as this LRP Laughing Thumbs Up

who make them? Seems expensive Embarassed

They were made by a company in America a number of years ago called Rover Specialities, but unfortunately they no longer trade. I like the design because they also cover the air compressor for maximum protection. Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

You can get a separate compressor cover as that seems a lot of extra metal. I have a 5mm one waiting to be fitted Smile

It may seem alot but if you google these sliders and how much they got punished while testing them i am fairly confident that this design is more than up to the job Wink 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

This looks like a Discovery 3 style slider/tree bar. The Discovery design won't work on an RRS. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Personally I think a design the kicks out just a little at the back is useful as it deflects the car around trees and rocks. In the situation where you actually need the sliders you are seldom looking at where the back wheels are going. Worrying about the front is enough

absolutely true, it is so Thumbs Up

there might also be an oppotunity to put in a proper jacking point location for a bottle jack - that would be a very useful add on 2012 SDV6 HSE (technically its hers)

I have managed to find the underbody protection for mine.

still looking for the rock sliders, so will be very interested in what you guys can come up with.

One suggestion is that the tubes could be round instead of square.

Here is my underbody, from the front to the fuel tank.

The ones from AJS Fabrications (info@ajsfabrications.com) are going to be available from next week at £450 including fixings.

I don't have any affiliation with them, I just asked them to let me know when they became available. Ask any questions of them, not me!

My knackered torque-converter is first in the queue for spending, otherwise I'd be buying a set. Big Cry

excellent news I do like AJS - really nice guys to deal with and genuinely interested in feedback on their products (and to be fair just interested in talking Land Rovers which is nice) 2012 SDV6 HSE (technically its hers)

Well look what TNT delivered this afternoon from Wildbear Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Arrived in a big heavy box, all wrapped with the stuff you see behind bits (nice backdrop!). Pic shows RHS from top and LHS from bottom. Lovely workmanship Smile

I've put driver's side on and I'll do a write up on that later but simple and easy to do, just a bit harder than sidesteps. The only thing that took extra time was the taking the rear wheel off (swollen nuts) and getting the existing plastic valence off (screws in rear wheel arch). There is a scary amount of rust underneath Sad

Suffice to say, the side that is on looks lovely but the weather here is drizzle/misty so I can't get a decent picture yet.

So the underside isn't flat but has the stand off bars exposed? I'd have thought a flat plate below would be a better bet.

Looking forward to seeing more pictures with some details etc. Oh, and a price... Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I thought that but then these are more tree sliders than rock? Agree would be good to combine the two, maybe put the plate on the bottom instead. I personally am not too worried about a running board.

Anyway, still miserable out here but here are a couple of pics in daylight.
