I priced up a fairly basic utility version suitable for country use so sticking with things like steel wheels and adding a towbar and off-road stuff. It came to near enough £51k which in this day and age doesn't seem a bad price for I expect to be an excellent off-roader. Tim
RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

Spoke to one of my local LR dealers yesterday, they do not have a price book to work from
as yet, expecting that to come in Late October. That said they had taken 13 orders since
reveal day already (returnable deposit subject to pricing), and mostly 110 SE's with explorer
pack, the most likely choice for OZ.

I suspect a Panoramic roof (std on HSE) is not much use when you have the explorer roof rack
blocking most of the view Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Australian Market - Pricing

apparently the pricing should be available the weekend in Australia for the new 110 Defenders.
I am testing out a D5 240HP 4 pot to compare to my 3.0 litre oil burners performance and if the pricing
and everything else aligns, i am likely to order the 110 SE P400 3 litre petrol turbocharged
this weekend, my expectation is that the 240HP is going to be a bag of crap..

after test driving the 240HP D5, decision was made to proceed with the P400, absolutely no way could
i live with the "whine" of the diesel in a heavier defender..The dealer is currently finalising the build spec
and price, taken a minimal deposit, so all going well in about 6 to 8 months i should be the owner of a
110 SE P400E, Eiger Grey/Black roof with explorer pack, current pricing with all options is around 65K sterling Big Cry
i get 5 years free servicing chucked in under the Australian corporate plan Thumbs Up

Will you make use of the external side caddy/waste bin thingy? I'm struggling to see what use it is other than as a bin for potentially smelly stuff you don't want in the vehicle with you e.g. filled dog pooh bags! Laughing

Otherwise, well done for getting in an order so soon after launch. Looking forward to seeing it being used in a country that uses 4wd properly. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I read somewhere that the bin box and its associated frame is not designed to be removed, so you might stuck with it on the vehicle. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

If that is the case it will get ripped off when offroad. I have become adept at rebuilding my external rear vision mirrors on my RRS but I guess on the new Defender when the box gets ripped off there will also be substantial body damage as well. 07MY RRS TDV6

i thought i i would take the plunge whilst i can afford it and keep the vehicle for the long term, i suspect the
Sport will start throwing up large $$$ requirements in the next few years.. and at least i will know which dickhead
has given the defender a tonking Laughing

After 12 years of Sport ownership, they still have not ironed out all the problems, in early adopter terms, it never ends
with a landie i suspect Whistle Thumbs Up Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

i thought i read the bin box was detachable, no doubt with the aid of a whole load of spanners/screwdrivers/sockets etc.
be interesting if it meets the Australian design regs, it sticks out of the side at the rear, so not sure if that would be
classified as a hazard.. some stupid rules down under, all about protecting the non existent home grown
car manufacturing industry.. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under
