Rrs tdv8 2007 no coolant warning

Had a problem with burst water hose on above rrs car overheated but no warning no light no low coolant nothing temp gauge stayed halfway as normal only indication was steam with is not ideal as you can imagine, read somewhere there is no low coolant message on this model or even a light that comes on to warn this seems not right can anyone enlighten me please ??

Hello mate,

As far as I am aware the message centre on the dashboard should read something like "CHECK COOLANT LEVEL".

Also there are wires leading to the Coolant expansion valve which are obviously tied in to the ECU etc to warn of any potential issue within the cooling system.

Yes it will warn you when the coolant is low as suggested it is in the middle of dash but i think it can be turned off with a IDD tool but stand to be corrected as usual Thumbs Up

The float in the water bottle becomes stuck over time. this would cause either a permminament low level warning or not allow the warnign at all.

you need to replace the bottle (also comes with a new sensor) as there is no current way of resolving.
