Remote start

Anyone know of a remote start kit that I can fit to my L320? Not a push button thing but one where I can start the car from a distance with a fob. Not bothered about alarms / locking etc just a starter.

Do you mean a remote starter for the fuel burning heater, or the engine?
If you want to pre-heat the car in cold weather, there are kits on the market with a remote fob, and I think you can also get a kit with a timed start. If you do a search on here and probably the sister Disco 3 site you may find Bodsy does them. He's at the Peterborough LRO show this weekend if you want to have a chat with him (no affiliation, just seen him on the forums).

I think the man has a S/C, no fuel burning heater fitted to petrol cars

I just fancy being able to start the car when I'm walking towards it in a car park etc

Nice thought but I think its illegal to have a car engine running with no one in it - isn't it? Robin

I think the main issue is getting around the immobilizer.

And to be honest you wouldn't want to! to leave the car secure
