If you're buying an Approved Used Range Rover Sport at the moment using LR Finance you are getting a £3k deposit contribution which would probably offset the difference in interest and gain you a years warranty.

Thanks, didnt realise they had 3k contribution.

But saying that, where I'm getting from, it's down at 5.9 apr, so it's a big difference compared to the land rovers 10%!!

PCP rather than HP? Had a look and Tesco loan was at ~2.9% about a month ago- I'm sure you've looked but just in case:

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

Im just in the process of put a small industrial unit up & its costing about 30k so im going to borrow 25k from bank as I only pay £26880 back to them over 5 years so its better than using my own money, plus when built im going to get £800 pm back on it & the paysments are about £450ish back to bank but im goiny to pay the full £800 a month as I wont miss it & it will be paid back in about 2.5 years. Its when you go over the 25k even by a pound you end up paying about 30k back. Andy.

Yeh I've looked at the HP way, but I dont have cars longer than 4 years, by then they're too old for my liking, so pcp suits me best, no hassle on getting rid at the end, just give it back and move on 😁

Not tempted by lease route? I did a lease on Golf-R which was a painless experience (even if the car is dull as ditch water and was glad to see it go after 21k miles), I keep cars until they bore me or break but each to their own as my mate rarely gets to 2 years before changing cars. 2008 TDV8 Buckingham Blue- SOLD

some leases can be good value

www.leasing.com is the best place to look as it has a value indicator next to some of the deals.

The SVR deals didn't make sense to me though, worked out better putting the car on HP at 5.9% via Land Rover as the lease deal had me paying quite a lot more than if I just paid via HP and exited after 1 or 2 years.

As with most leases you really need to do the maths and work out the rough value of the car at the end of the term and then do the HP/PCP sums as well to see if you are getting a good deal.

Some Mercedes Benz offers on lease for example you couldn't touch with any other type of finance agreement!! Non JLR Vehicle
