Hi gents, a few weeks back after a 200 miles run I got the dreaded Res Perf message, I scanned and no codes appeared, it reset after a shut down and restart. Went to the dealer and they said it was fixed by cleaning the air flow sensor. First drive after 30 minutes same happened and did the same all day with no codes until the last start, I got an engine warning light with code 1247, Turbocharger boost low. This one has has stayed on, the Res Perf resets after each start up.

Back to the dealer on Monday it still has warranty until December, the car has 84,000 on it other than the odd item has been dream to drive. Thankfully I didn't take it to Germany lady week!

Anyone else with this issue, I've searched and there are a few no code Res Perf threads.

Smoke test is required to determine any boost leaks

I got this gremlin already for a couple of years. Code 1247.00. NO Leaks (smoke test was performed by JLR dealer) no other DTC's. After turning it of for 3 minutes, the car drives strong , particularly on the highway, after turn of the ignition, Until next event, when it appears again usually after a could start. It does not seem a serious problem, but it is annoying.
As said , everything has been checked with the help of ToPiX LTB00445V3, but sofar no succes.

I now start to suspect one of the 3 vacuum solenoids, particularly the one that is controling the CSOV. Is this a on/of valve or does ot modulate?

I get a restricted performance warning about every week or two (sticking turbo actuators I believe) on my TDV8. When I clean the intake system it goes for a few weeks longer between warnings.

What no one can explain is the exhaust noise is so loud and defening when it happens, like some one has removed the mufflers.

And back to the dealer this morning. While driving a short distance yesterday I dropped it into Sport mode, a short 10 minutes later the warning light came on. This morning I did the same, started off in Sport and 10 minutes later the warning light appeared. 2018 Telsa MS

I don’t know what engine you have in your car, but on the TDV8’s both 3.6 and 4.4 the inlet manifolds split and the rubber stub pipes that join them split too. Also the inter cooler hoses can let go. All of the above can cause restricted performance errors. Current: 2010 RRS 3.6 TDV8 HSE

None of the above is a problem with my TDV8.

It's a SDV6 3.0, all quiet from the dealer so for... 2018 Telsa MS

The car has been back and forth to the dealer for the same problem over the last 6 weeks. Last week I could smell exhaust in the cabin while at a stop light. Sure enough today they looked and found an exhaust leak at the rear of the engine, it's been in and out of the shop 5 times since the start! More to come. 2018 Telsa MS

Success! The cross over pipe was split along with a melted fuel pipe. The Land Rover extended warranty finally put to good use! 2018 Telsa MS

That cross over pipe appears to be a common failing point on the SDV6, there was a chap on the forum last year with the same issue but he was told the LR warranty wouldn’t cover it. He was battling them as in everyone’s opinion it quite rightly should be covered. 2012 5.0 SC AB

What is not a common issue, when it comes to “ristricted performance” ?

While I'm out of the country the car has been mended and they even threw in a set of front discs. Had a bit of the steering wobble, they had been replaced last year by the dealer. 2 year warranty on the discs! 2018 Telsa MS
