United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 Autobiography Santorini Black
Rear Entertainment Option Vanished!

Hi! I’m having an issue after changing my head unit due to damaged touch screen. 2007 autobiography TDV8. Had to reload the OS but am missing the “rear entertainment” option.
All original. Is there perhaps a different (newer) OS (recovery dvd) I need? Or is there some “hack” to turn on this option?
Thanks for any help!

Is it factory fitted rear entertainment or after market as you may have to reactivate it in the CCF files, although would have thought you would only have to do that if the CD player unit was change as that is generally referred to as the head unit. If aftermarket have you reconnected the video lead to the rear of the screen. Just as a point of interest there is no such thing as a 2007 Autobiography Sport it wasn't introduced until 2010 for the Sport.

Cheers
Col

The screen is effectively the controller or gateway module. It holds an abridged version of the CCF, if it came out of a car without factory RSE, it will need to be activated to enable the option. There will be more than one edit, possibly up to about 15! 2012 5.0 SC AB

Just thinking about this, if your good with a screwdriver you could just swap the screens over. It’s usually only screws and a ribbon cable. That way you keep the original CCF. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Ahhaaa!!! Didn’t know the units were repairable. And (very) annoyingly I’ve binned the old unit. Damn it!!

Unless editing the dvd and reloading is an option?
All factory fitted rear screens etc - perhaps getting that dvd in the laptop and having a poke about may be an option? Unless getting a different version of the software from somewhere is an option maybe?
