Random double bleep blip beep from alarm while car locked?

Hi,
any confirmation or other thoughts on this welcome Question

over the last 6 months a couple of times as you walked towards the RRS it would give a random double bleep from what I think was the alarm, as if you had just locked it and a door was open so you get a warning bleep to say not locked
this has happened even when I did not have the key with me, it was still in the house Exclamation
first time thought nothing of it
second time think I tried all the doors to make sure locked, they where and mirrors where folded in to confirm
its not done it for for a month or more as far as I know

tonight, it was going daft Shocked
been out in the car, it had a 40+ mile trip, back home double locked by door handle and went inside, out to walk the dog 3 hours later and car is giving double bleep, then 3secs later another double bleep another 3secs and another double bleep
I checked my pocket and Did still have the key in my pocket Whistle yet key in hand it bleeped again
unlocked the car with the remote and locked it again with remote
10secs later it double bleeped again then went about 1 min and 3 sets of double bleeps again
opened every door on the car, shut, locked again keys in house, tried all doors all locked, bleeping still happening Big Cry

well done if your still reading this nearly done Laughing

swmbo spare key out of the faraday bag to try using that, remote battery was dead and would not open with remote fob but the car still recognised it and opened by handle pull
all doors opened and shut again (inc boot) locked by door handle button (remote dead) came inside to replace the remote fob battery, still heard the car double bleeping.
new battery in and unlocked from inside the house, then locked again, all working fine
and
NO MORE BLEEPING from the car Confused

Does the RRS let you know the remote fob battery needs changing by bleeping the alarm Question

searched on here as did think it has been mentioned before but found nothing, never had a warning message for Smart key as the manual states but we very rarely use this key so that is no surprise, swmbo suggesting put the old battery back in and see what happens which may do tomorrow but its all quiet now

Have you got easy access on your boot.....?? Mine does this if something has set the sensor off without the key being in open door range...

i.e if my foot or the dog passes near the rear boot sensor but my key is not within door sensor readings..

Mine was doing this last week when I was washing it without the key in my pocket. Also if the keys are in the house and my 1 Year toddles past the back wheels this happens. Wonder if there is any way of turning this off?

Hi,
they all seem a bit different then Confused

We dont have the "gesture" tailgate (is that the sensor FC?) so never had the dog set anything off

Both keys were in their Faraday bags inside the house over 10M away and it was still double bleeping until I changed the remote battery

I have had the hose pipe jet lock/unlock the car if keys are anywhere near, but never when there in the house

I have now put the "old" battery back in to see what happens Question the rest must have done it good as the remote now works again and still no bleep's
will leave it in for now and see if it starts again, no dash warning for "smart key battery low" either

Hi Jamielc,
this may be a bit of a long shot, as ours is still fine, although not been out in it since!

Get a couple of new cr2032 batteries and replace in both remotes

let us know if it works if you do Thumbs Up Porsche Cayenne 2022
