iPhone 7 shutting down entertainment centre and display

Hi Folks I’m looking for some help, I have a fault driving me mad. I have a 2014 autobiography sport every time I connect my wife’s iPhone 7 Plus to the Bluetooth as soon as it connects it shuts down the main system screen etc goes blank and then re boots, this will continue to happen until I disconnect the phone. I have tried my own iPhone 8 with no problems and also an iPhone 6 with no problems all three phones running the same soft wear

So it must be the iPhone 7. I have tried deleting and re adding the phone I have the set the phone and also checked all the settings on the phone and made them the same as my 8 and still no different.

Has any one else had this problem? Any help would be great.

Are you using the same cable to connect each phone or a different one for the 7? Often non-Apple cables won’t work with the InControl system - I had this issue with a 2014 Evoque and when I changed from a cheapo cable to a genuine Apple cable the problem disappeared 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Sorry I should have said I am using Bluetooth to connect the phones. As soon as the jeep starts and the Bluetooth connects to the iPhone 7 it just shuts down immediately and re boots.

Easy fix, you are confusing it with your Jeep.
