They're made by Hawke. Around £160 + p&p. There are usually some good used ones on eBay though.

Ok, after a whole evening's research on the net, I appear to have come down to two options- one is the 'cheap' option of four units at £950 via eBay, BUT they're made in China. OR, I go for broke and get four new (not remanufactured) Arnott units at £1650 all in. Trawling around the net it seems that there are dozens of these Chinese made units out there, and digging a bit deeper they're all made by the same company with the same address in China. I'm a bit worried about the quality of the bag and the quality of the hydraulics on the strut itself, but they could of course be absolutely fine. Dunno. Opinions? |

Obviously it’s your call and £1650 is a lot of money, but personally I wouldn’t buy the cheap ones as their provenance is unknown and suspension is a safety critical item. |

Yeah, I think you're right Phil. The Arnott units are supposed to be very good, so for the extra cash and peace of mind I think that's the way to go. I've gone the whole hog actually and booked it in next Thursday for a gentle remap at JR Tuning in Kent. I'll change the struts myself as it's not a difficult job and I've got a workshop full of tools. Think my front tyres have been suffering too with the worn suspension as the outer edges are getting thin while the rest of the tyre is good, and I've had the tracking and balancing done too, so the wear should be even if everything was in good nick. I'll report back with updates. |

I wouldn't Dave. You just don't know what they will be like. You might be lucky but then again, you may be just wasting nearly a grand. I don't think it's worth the risk.

PS. if you are doing them yourself, make sure you have a 15mm flexi-head ratchet spanner. Kev

Looks good- so yours has the same suspension as mine- how much did all four corners cost you and where from? |

No, mine aren't the same as yours because I don't have the adaptive dampers. For all four corners, my Dunlops cost £578+VAT = £693.60 total. Kev
