Digital radio

This morning the wife said 'maybe we should buy a brand new car so we can listen to Virgin radio'..
Thats a tad expensive in my opinion so what options are available for a 2005 L320?
I know I can get a head unit for my X5 so is one available for Land rover or a digital converter?

I see. I have a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the aux socket. I was thinking more of a hidden dab adapter or total head unit replacement to touch screen.
There are some L320 dab radio modules on eBay. 6H52-19C032-AH 2005 - 2013.What are those? Would it fit in mine? Surely mine should have one..

Your car has the upgrade Harmon Kardon Logic 7 IIRC - then it is from the pre-DAB era if it is a 2005 car - that was RRS L320 launch year. You might struggle to find a modern head unit that will give you the same sound reproduction at a price that isn’t OTT 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

No but I have a Foxwell tool that does a lot of stuff. There are loads of dab things on ebay - I'm not keen on having a separate control tho. We'll see.

I upgraded the standard LR headhunt in my 2005 SC over a year ago to a Pioneer double din unit with DAB, bluetooth and Apple Car Play which also kept the Nav screen and sound (usually lose this when you upgrade) with the help of site sponsor Incartech and I've been really pleased that I did.
It cost about £500 (so not cheap) but included all cables for head unit, amp, steering wheel controls, an extra amp (as you'll lose the standard amp when changing the head unit with the Harmon Kardon Logic 7 system) and the head unit and they even threw in a free digital aerial.
It took a few hours to fit as we didn't know what we were doing at first but it worked first time and no problems since!
If you go down this route, let me know and I can give you a few pointers. 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue
2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love.

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I've fitted a Highway 600, which gives DAB and decent Bluetooth connections. Fitted the aerial and power box to the rear driver side window and powered it from the rear 12v socket in the centre arm rest. The AUX line is used for the input so no messing with FM.

The little control box is stashed in one of the front drinks holders so is covered over easily when left and the hands free mic is tucked in between the rubber door seal and the headlining next to the the drivers seat.

Have been using it now for around 4 months and had no issues, other than occasionally losing signal, but these are in the same places that my factory fitted one in my old Kuga used drop out too so no worries there.

Just need to have the head unit playing from the AUX input and away you go - you get DAB and Bluetooth without the need to take the dash apart, loose Nav or amplifiers etc, no extra cabling and is really quite a neat installation.

It's probably not as good as a fully integrated double DIN head unit, but for £99 all in it was the quickest and cheapest option for getting DAB.

Hope this helps 2006 RRS HSE 2.7 TDV6 (The Baby one as I keep being told)
