United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Fuji White
Locking problems

Hi guys looking for some help please.
Twice now my 2014 Autobiography has locked itself as soon as I’ve shut the door. Both times the key has been in the car. Luckily I have had somebody with me and they were able to open the car otherwise I would have been humped!
The most worrying thing is last night I jumped out with the car still running to lock up a gate and the car locked its self again with the key inside and the engine still running. Again luckily my pal was with me!
Any advice?

The locking system is supposed to detect if either key is still in the car and shouldn’t self lock if it detects one inside so it sounds like your keyless locking module might have a fault or the battery in the key is dying. If you had the keyfob in your picket when you got out it would not lock the car until you were more than a metre from the sensor too.
