I've looked everywhere and cannott work out what the tinted perspex item in the centre of the headlining is or what it does,It looks like some kind of interior light but never lights up "HELP" Many thanks

I think you will find it's also part of the Alarm Sensor Interior Scan, even if you don't have the wireless headphones etc.

Hi ,just looked mine looks like that but has a smoked shiny perspex light thing across the middle of it with a shiny surround?just got the second pic,yes thats it..

In that case then if you don't have factory rear screen entertainment fitted, I think you have the dual view screen fitted, there should be a switch by the rotary menu control knob which has a icon on it of what appears to be two rectangle boxes on it with numbers 1 & 2 in them, if not it will just say setup on the switch. If you have the screen you should also have at least one set of headphones.
